SAN RAMON, Calif. – After leading Cal State San Marcos to team and individual titles, senior Sarah Garcia has been selected as CCAA Golfer of the Week for Sept. 19-25. This marks the third career conference weekly award for Garcia.

The Turlock native fired 4-under 140 (72-68) at the Western New Mexico Fall Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Ariz., to take medalist honors. Besting her teammate Jaime Jacob by two strokes, Garcia helped lead the Cougars to the top of the team leaderboard. CSUSM outpaced their closest competitor by seven strokes, and their one-under team total stood as the only under-par team tally.

The Cougars return to the links on Oct. 22-23 at the Skyhawk Intercollegiate hosted by Fort Lewis in Albuquerque, N.M.
