SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos' Avery Foster has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Women's Golfer of the Week. 
 
Foster earned a fifth-place finish at the Patriot Invitational, hosted by DBU in Carmel, California. The senior from Clovis posted an 8-over 224 (71-79-71) over the three rounds at Quail Lodge Golf Course. She posted scores of even-par in the first and third rounds, and an 8-over 79 in the second. Foster tied for second among the 66 golfers in par-5 scoring at (-3). 
 
Her performance helped Cal State San Marcos finish third in the tournament with a 45-over 897. The Cougars finished ahead of the No. 3 and No. 5 teams in the country with that result. 

This is Foster's third Golfer of the Week award of the 2025-26 season, and the sixth of her career. This honor raises CSUSM's season total to six with Kiara Herandnez, Chloe Rahn and Carmella Carlisi also receiving the award.
 
CSUSM will be back in action on April 3-4 at the RJCA Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Arizona. This will be the team's final tournament before the CCAA Championships (Apr. 20-22).
