SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos' Lauren Hickam along with Jasmin Krishna of Cal State East Bay have been named the CCAA Women's Co-Golfers of the Week for the week of Oct. 11-17.
Hickam and Krishna finished tied for third at the Nick Turner Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Both players shot an even-par 144 to finish one stroke back of co-leaders and Colorado State Pueblo golfers Kylie Severin and Zoey Rodriguez.
Hickam shot a 1-over 73 on Tuesday to go with her 1-under 71 from Monday. The senior from Carmel recorded 26 pars and five birdies in the tournament for her best collegiate-career finish. She led the No. 10 Cougars to a share of the team title with CSUEB. It was CSUSM's second consecutive win in as many tournaments.
CSUSM will travel to Hawai'i next week for two tournaments Oct. 23-28.
