SAN DIEGO – The Cal State San Marcos men's track & field team saw two school records, three NCAA Division II provisional times and seven top-10 marks over a three-day period at the Aztec Invitational, the Bob Larsen Distance Carnival and the PLNU Collegiate Invitational.

TOP PERFORMANCES AT BOB LARSEN DISTANCE CARNIVAL
- Trevor Boaz claimed the school record in the one-mile run with a time of 4:04.97 – 1.90 seconds faster than the previous record set by Brett Campfield in 2011. When converted to a 1500-meter time of 3:46.82, his time is an NCAA Division II provisional mark. Nick Melanese came in with the program's third-fastest time at 4:09.37 while Shea Vavra had the school's fourth-fastest time at 4:09.94.
- The men's 10K saw another school record as Joshua Litwiller posted the first sub-30-minute time in program history at 29:47.18 and earned himself a Division II provisional. He beat out the old record of 30:05.96 set by Western Nelson in 2011 and improved upon his old PR of 30:12.48. Ruben Piña had a provisional time as well as he came in with the school's fourth-fastest time at 30:15.52 while Kibrom Elias finished with the program's sixth-fastest time at 30:44.12.

TOP PERFORMANCES AT AZTEC INVITATIONAL
- Boaz posted the seventh-best 1500-meter time in program history at 3:51.29.
- Melanese placed third in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:52.47.

TOP PERFORMANCES AT PLNU COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL
- Trevor Nakata won the hammer throw with a distance of 47.66 meters.
- Hayden Sumner took third out of 31 entrants in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.17. He later placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.23.
- Nick Tangonan placed third in the shot put with a mark of 13.54 meters while also taking third in the discus at 38.76 meters.

The Cougars will return to action in two weeks at UC San Diego's Triton Invitational on April 8-9 in La Jolla.
