Breann Horn has been named the CCAA Women's Golfer of the Week after leading the Cougars to a pair of tournament victories in Hawaii.

Horn won the HPU Shark Shootout, Oct. 25-26, in Aiea, Hawaii, before finishing tied for seventh at the Dennis Rose Invitational, Oct. 28-29, in Waimea, Hawaii. The junior from Lakeside had the best two-tournament score (-5) among all CCAA players as teams played in a pair of tournaments over five days on two islands. Horn was also the only CCAA golfer in the entire field to shoot under par for the week.

At the HPU Shark Shootout at Pearl Country Club, Horn ran away with the title with a 7-under 137 (69-68). She tallied 12 birdies in the two-day event to win by four strokes.

At the Dennis Rose Invitational at Hapuna Golf Course, Horn was 2-over 146 to tie for seventh, giving her two top 10 finishes for the week.

The Cougars captured the team title in both tournaments, winning the Shootout as the only team under par at 571, 20 shots better than Point Loma. The Cougars took first in the Dennis Rose Invite with a 583 team score, 13 strokes better than Point Loma.Â

The CSUSM women's golf team concluded the fall schedule with two victories and two runner-up finishes. The Cougars will resume play in the spring on Feb. 7 at The Valley Invitational in Bakersfield.
