Cougars Draw vs. ConcordiaMegan Randig's first career goal helped the Cougars to a 1-1 tie against Concordia (Calif.) in CSUSM's first-ever home match as a competitor in NCAA Division II on Sept. 9 (

th minute, but Randig answered with less than eight minutes left in regulation.

Last Meeting: W, 1-0 (Nov. 4, 2014); The Cougars secured their first and only victory over the Sea Lions in the 2014 regular-season finale at The Cougar Den.

PLNU Breakdown: The Sea Lions are an even .500 on the year, but have put together some very impressive performances thus far, all against CCAA teams. On Sept. 8, PLNU upset No. 14 Cal State L.A., 1-0. On Sept. 12, the Sea Lions dropped a 1-0 affair to Sonoma State, who is receiving votes in the NCAA DII national poll. Every game that the Sea Lions have played has been decided by a 1-0 score line.
Cal State San Bernardino PreviewAll-time vs. CSUSB: 0-0-2
Last meeting: T, 1-1 (2OT) (Oct. 19, 2008); Friday's match between CSUSM and CSUSB will be the first in almost seven years for the squads. In their last meeting, CSUSB went ahead in the 68
th minute, but CSUSM was gifted the equalizer in the 85
th as a Coyote defender headed a long free kick past her own goalkeeper.
CSUSB breakdown: It's been a rough go for the Coyotes since their season-opening 3-0 victory over Academy of Art on Sept. 3. After a tie with Dominican, CSUSB has dropped three straight, including a 5-1 loss to No. 12 Grand Valley State. Melanie Aguayo leads CSUSB with three goals on the season. Denae Verdine has two goals and four assists.
Cal Poly Pomona PreviewAll-time vs. CPP: 1-1-1
Last meeting: W, 3-1 (Oct. 17, 2008); Goals from Katelyn Krauss, Lauren Johnson and Taylor Schurman ensured the first-ever win for the Cougars over the Broncos.
CPP breakdown: The Broncos, picked to finish third in the CCAA preseason coaches' poll, bounced back from their only loss of the season with a 2-1 victory over Regis (Colo.) on Sunday. CPP has outscored its opponents, 8-2, on the year. Their two goals allowed are tied for the lowest in the CCAA.

New ConferenceCal State San Marcos is a part of the 13-team
California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), made up of 12 CSU institutions and UC San Diego. The CCAA is one of the premier NCAA Division II leagues in the nation. Its teams have won more national championships (153) than any other conference.
Preseason CCAA Coaches PollThe Cougars came in ranked No. 11 in the
2015 CCAA Preseason Coaches Poll. The Cougars received 37 total points and finished ahead of Humboldt State and Cal State Dominguez Hills. Cal State L.A. was picked to win the conference for the third year in a row. It is the first season in which CSUSM is competing in the CCAA.
