Naomi Amu hit a three-run homer and
Robyn Alvara added a solo homerun as the Cougars cruised 6-0 in a time-shortened, five-inning affair.
San Diego Christian Preview
All-time vs. SDCC: 6-0
Last meeting: W, 3-0; W, 5-3 (Feb. 21, 2015);
Brogan Hoenisch had a big day for CSUSM, combining to go 3-for-6 with two RBI on the afternoon. Her RBI triple in the fourth inning of game one gave the Cougars a little bit of cushion. In game two, Alvara gave CSUSM a 3-0 lead with a home run in the third inning. SDCC tied it up, but Amu popped a two-run shot to right center to put CSUSM in the lead for good.
Azusa Pacific Preview
All-time vs. APU: 11-7
Last meeting: L, 5-13 (6 inn.); W, 7-2 (Mar. 23, 2015); Following one of the ugliest losses in the past couple seasons, a 3-for-3, three RBI performance from Alvara propelled the Cougars to victory in game two.
Melyssa Bellamy added a two-run triple.

Who We AreCSUSM is an NAIA Division I institution which competes in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference. CSUSM was accepted into NCAA Division II Candidacy Year One and the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) during the summer and is currently going through a three-year transition phase in order to gain full NCAA DII status for the 2017-18 season. The 2014-15 season will be the school's final year competing in the NAIA.
