Sara Langdon on the base path, and Langdon was eventually driven in by
Tayler Ybarra to put CSUSM up 1-0.
In the third, Amu was walked again. Alvara made SDCC starter Kendra Kuper pay, sending a deep two-run shot over the centerfield wall to make it 3-0.

The Hawks threatened again in the sixth as Josie Tucker led off with a double to right. However,
Katie Wilkinson (8-1) got the next two batters to pop out on consecutive pitches. Despite Morgan Wheeler sending a single up the middle to put runners on first and third, Wilkinson calmly forced pinch hitter Savanna Baggett into a weak grounder back to the box to escape the threat.
Wilkinson struck out four and allowed five hits in the victory.
