SAN DIEGO – Cal State San Marcos softball center fielder Czar Fleischman was recognized by the San Diego Hall of Champions as one of the 2026 May Stars of the Month.

Fleischman led the Cougars to a 14-6 record in May by hitting .459 (28-of-61) with eight doubles, one triple, five home runs, 28 RBIs and 20 runs. The senior from Berkeley also tallied 10 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games, including a 3-for-4 performance with two doubles, a home run and five RBIs at Cal State San Bernardino on May 2.

Fleischman capped off her four-year career at CSUSM how she started it, with a trip to the NCAA Division II National Championship where she led the Cougars this season to the semifinals. After hitting .400 and going 6-for-15 with two doubles, a home run, five RBIs and five runs, Fleischman was named to the NCAA Division II Softball Championship All-Tournament Team.
