SAN MARCOS, Calif. – After a strong opening week in which the No. 20 Cal State San Marcos volleyball team went 4-2, the Cougars will head north to participate in the Holiday Inn Express Volleyball Invitational hosted by UC Merced.

Weekend Preview
The Cougars will be facing three teams making their season's debut this weekend, while CSUSM has had six games to get acquainted and in game shape. Cal State San Marcos has never faced West Coast Baptist, Northwest Christian, or Oregon Tech, but is 2-0 lifetime against the host Bobcats.

In two career matches against UC Merced,
Taylor DeGraaf has been outstanding. She has tallied 40 kills and just 6 errors in six sets, good for a .507 hitting percentage.
West Coast Baptist competes as a member of the National Christian College Association of America (NCCAA). Northwest Christian was 18-12 a year ago in the NAIA, while Oregon Tech finished their campaign 11-20 and UC Merced finished the season at 8-20.
