SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos' McKenna Kehoe has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 7-13.

The freshman setter/defensive specialist led the CCAA with 5.29 digs per set during the opening week of CCAA play. She totaled 37 digs in seven sets, helping CSUSM open conference play at 1-1. Kehoe added four aces and 11 assists. 

She opened the week by posting 20 digs, eight assists and two aces in a four-set match against Cal State East Bay. Kehoe then helped CSUSM sweep San Francisco State as she had 17 digs and two aces.

The Queen Creek, Ariz., native is the first CSUSM student-athlete to earn a CCAA weekly honor since 2023 (Tori Goff). Click here to see a complete list of past award winners. 

Cal State San Marcos (4-6, 1-1 CCAA) will go on the road this week to face UC Merced (Sept. 18) and Fresno Pacific (Sept. 19). Both matches will be available on FloCollege.
