Had a season-best long jump mark of 6.02 meters at the Kamaka Open (Feb. 24).
Posted his best triple jump mark of the season at 13.25 meters at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Invitational (March 16).

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2023

Competed in six meets.
Posted the 10th-best triple jump mark in program history with a distance of 13.26 meters at the CCAA Championships (May 4-6).
Had a season-best long jump mark of 6.46 meters at the Triton Invitational (April 7-8).
Recorded 100- and 200-meter PRs of 12.03 and 24.06 at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Invitational (March 18).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2022

Competed in seven meets.
Had a season-best marks of 6.32 meters in the long jump, 1.70 meters in the high jump and 24.33 seconds in the 200-meter dash at the Ross & Sharon Irwin Invitational (March 19).
Best triple jump mark of the season came at the Rossi Relays (Feb. 26) as he finished with a distance of 12.97 meters.
Lone 400 time of 58.05 came at the OIDFE Challenge (Jan. 29).

HIGH SCHOOL

2021 graduate of Calvin Christian High School in Escondido, California.
Competed for Shelly Katje and Bill Stout.
Named MVP for the 2021 track & field season.
Was the 2019 Pacific League Champion in the long jump.
Achieved a personal-best mark of 21' 1" in the long jump and 43' 3" in the triple jump.
Also played basketball and football.
Member of Christians in Action and the Fishing Club.

Born in Escondido, California.
Hometown is San Marcos, California.
Son of Steve and Shelly Katje.
Has two sisters, Victoria and Sarah, and one brother, Steven.
Mom played volleyball at Dordt College.
Enjoys camping, dirt bikes, surfing, sleeping, playing with his dog and being around friends and family.
Favorite movies are Cars, Surf's Up, Superbad and all the Spiderman movies.
Favorite athletes are Christian Taylor, Donald Scott, JuVaughn Harrison, Will Claye, Justin Herbert and Steph Curry.
Favorite foods are burgers, Chick-fil-A, fries, avocados, sunflower seeds and any fruit.
His parents are his greatest influence.
Roots for the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Chargers and San Diego Padres.
Most memorable moment was winning the league championship in the long jump as a sophomore in high school.
Has lived in San Marcos his entire life.
