AS A FRESHMAN IN 2019

Participated in nine meets.
Competed in the 100, 200, 4x100 and 4x400 for the Cougars.
Finished 24th with a PR in the 200 (22.86) at the Ross and Sharon Irwin Collegiate Scoring Meet (March 16).
Ran a PR of 11.21 in the 100 at the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 17-19).
Placed fourth in the 4x100 (42.18) at the CCAA Track & Field Championships (May 2-4).

HIGH SCHOOL

2018 graduate of Tesoro High School in Las Flores, California.
Competed under coach Kenny Harrison.
Received the Most Valuable Sprinter Award during his junior and senior year.
Posted the fourth-fastest 100-meter time in school history at 11.07 while also posting the fifth-fastest 200 time in school history at 22.30.

Son of Bill and Michele Gates.
Has two younger brothers, Giovanni and Dominic, and one younger sister, Micalyse.

Enjoys Italian and Mexican cuisine.
Roots for the Washington Redskins.
His greatest influence is Jesus Christ.
Plans on opening his own physical therapy practice once graduating from physical therapy school.
His most memorable moment competing in track was creating life-long friends and memories while doing what he loves.
Loves to give back to the youth of his community and inspires them to pursue their dreams and continue to work hard in all aspects of their lives.
