  • Ran a season-best 25:06.0 for 24th place at the UCR Invitational (Sept. 16).

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2017 DURING TRACK & FIELD
  • Ran the fifth-fastest 10,000m at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships (May 5) with a personal-best of 31:00.95
  • Posted the eighth-fastest 5000m with a time of 15:25.22 at the CCAA Championships (May 6)
  • Qualified for the CCAA Championships in the 1500m, 5000m and 10,000m
  • Competed in the 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m and 10,000m

  • Finished seventh overall at the Coyote Challenge (Sept. 24) with an 8k time of 26:45.4.
  • Recorded an 8k mark of 26:40.0 at the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Cross Country Championships (Oct. 22).
  • Set an 8k personal-best 24:44.2 at the UC Riverside Invitational (Sept. 17) to finish 14th overall.
  • Ran a 6k personal-best 19:30.0 and finished 21st at the Cal Poly Pomona CCAA Preview (Sept. 2).
  • Placed 12th at the Cougar Challenge (Oct. 15) with an 8k time of 25:55.0.
  • Posted a 4.8 mile time of 26:17.6 and finished 30th at the Mustang Challenge (Oct. 1).

  • Favorite thing about CSUSM is the bonds he has with his teammates and coaches
  • His brother is a cancer survivor so he makes it a priority to visit Rady’s Children’s Hospital in San Diego
  • Majoring in Liberal Arts
  • Plans on teaching in high school and possible coaching after graduation
