COURSE REPORT:  The No. 10/10 Cal State San Marcos men's golf team finished 18th at the NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional that wrapped up on Saturday with the final round at the Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, California.

FIRST TEE

• Jason McElroy broke into the top 20 after carding a 2-under 70 in the final round to finish with a 1-over 217 (71-76-70) for a share of 19th place.  
• Matt Pennington tied for 46th place with a 7-over 223 (75-73-75).
• Matthew Moss is tied for 66th place with a 10-over 226 (75-74-77).  
• Greg Mouser ended the tournament with a 20-over 236 (80-75-81) to take 100th place.
• Cutter Ayres was right behind with a share of 101st place after carding a 21-over 237 (80-80-77).

INSIDE THE SCORECARD

• After finishing with identical 3-over 867 scores, Sonoma State won a cardoff over Western Washington to win the NCAA Division II West/South Central Title after the sudden death playoff was called off due to darkness after two two holes were played. 
• With an eight-stroke lead heading into the final, Colorado Christian posted a 14-over 302 to drop out of the top five and see its season come to an end.
• Posting identical 68s in all three rounds, Sonoma State's Griffin Pace was crowned the West/South Central Regional Champion with a 12-under 204.
• Joining SSU and WWU as the West/South Central Regional team representatives are third-place Chico State (869, +5) as well as Oklahoma Christian and Simon Fraser, who finished tied for fourth place with a 7-over 871.
• Mauricio Figueroa of Texas A&M International and Colorado State-Pueblo's Liam Duncan will advance to the National Championships as individuals.
