COURSE REPORT: The Cal State San Marcos men's golf team placed 18th at the Visit Stockton D2 Invitational, carding a 32-over 608 (300-308) across two rounds that concluded Tuesday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.

FIRST TEE

• Gavin McCormick finished in a tie for 39th at 5-over 149 (74-75), recording eight birdies throughout the tournament and adding an eagle while leading CSUSM on the leaderboard.
• Aiden Canada tied for 49th at 6-over 150 (74-76), using steady play that included 24 pars to remain one of the team's most consistent performers.
• Aaron Arch also tied for 49th at 6-over 150 (76-74) and produced a strong second round to climb the scoreboard. 
• Johnny Sprague tied for 97th at 15-over 159 (76-83) and managed to card an eagle during his opening round. 
• Liam Weaver closed his tournament tied for 106th place at 19-over 163 (79-84), posting a steady opening nine in round one before running into difficulty late in the event.
