COURSE REPORT: The Cal State San Marcos men's golf team placed ninth at the Coyote Classic, finishing at 36-over 900 (302-301-297) through three rounds played at Oak Valley Golf Club. The Cougars closed with their best round of the tournament, a 297, to move up the leaderboard in a competitive 13-team field.
FIRST TEE
- Kai Miyata led CSUSM by finishing T10 at 1-over 217 (74–72–71). He totaled nine birdies and added an eagle while ranking among the top performers in par-3 scoring.
- Gavin McCormick tied for 32nd at 7-over 223 (73–74–76), highlighted by 37 pars, tied for the most in the field.
- Aiden Canada tied for 39th at 10-over 226 (76–77–73), recording 33 pars and playing the par 5s at 5-under.
- Jack Main finished 63rd at 18-over 234 (79–78–77), contributing 32 pars across the three rounds.
