COURSE REPORT:
The Cal State San Marcos men's golf team earned a share of eighth place at CSUEB's Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, finishing at 3-over 867 through three rounds played Monday and Tuesday at Corica Park Golf Course. The Cougars rallied in Round 2 with a 10-under 278 before closing with a 301 to secure a top-half finish in a strong 18-team field.
 
FIRST TEE

• Gavin McCormick led CSUSM by finishing T22 at 1-under 215 (68–72–75). He carded 11 birdies along with one eagle.
• Aiden Canada tied for 28th at 1-over 217 (76–66–75), highlighted by a 6-under 66 in Round 2 and 10 total birdies plus an eagle.
• Liam Weaver posted 2-over 218 (74–68–76) with 10 birdies and one double bogey.
• Kai Miyata finished T41 at 3-over 219 (72–72–75), totaling 10 birdies and ranking among the top performers in par-5 scoring at 7-under.
• Jack Main finished at 12-over 228 (74–76–78), contributing 12 pars and four birdies.
