COURSE REPORT:Â The No. 23/22 Cal State San Marcos men's golf team finished eighth at the Hanny Invitational on Tuesday, carding a 17-over 305 in the final round to finish with a 31-over 895.
FIRST TEE
- Greg Mouser held on for a top-10 finish, sharing 10th place with Chris Ebster of Stanislaus State with a 3-over 219 (74-70-75).
- Jason McElroy moved up 11 spots to finish tied for 20th place with a 7-over 223 (71-78-74).
- Matt Pennington tied for 41st place with an 11-over 227 (75-72-80).
- Arman Rahgozar shot up nine spots for a share of 43rd place with a 12-over 228(75-77-76).
- Matthew Moss finished with a 15-over 231 (74-77-80) and tied for 58th place.

INSIDE THE SCORECARD
- Western Washington led in pars (161), birdies (41) and eagles (5) in the three rounds.
- The Cougars finished tied for second in Par 5 scoring (4.65, -21), behind Western Washington (4.48, -31).
- With Mouser's eagle on the fifth hole, CSUSM raised their eagle total to five, tying with Holy Names and Western Washington for the tournament-high.
- Western Washington captured the team title with a 7-over 871 (278-295-298), winning with a 10-stroke lead over second-place Simon Fraser (881, +17).
- WWU's Jordan Lee moved up four spots after carding a round-low 2-under 70 to finish with a 4-under 212.
