SAN DIEGO – The Cal State San Marcos men's track & field team competed at the PLNU Collegiate Invitational and San Diego State's Aztec Invitational on Saturday.
 
TOP PERFORMANCES

• CSUSM began the PLNU Collegiate Invitational with a time of 43.35 in the 4x100-meter relay.
• Jeremy Rack ran a wind-aided time of 15.40 in the 110-meter hurdles.
• Braden Oberg ran the 400-meter dash in 51.39.
• Jackson Cross and Zavier Hidalgo finished back-to-back in the 100-meter dash with wind-aided times of 11.17 and 11.21, respectively.
• Cross also had the best long jump mark on the team at 6.33 meters.
• Nate Valencia had a time of 1:02.88 in the 400-meter hurdles.
• At the Aztec Invitational, Nick Melanese ran a time of 1:51.49 and finished third out of 18 entrants in the 800-meter run.

After a weekend off, CSUSM will return to action at UC San Diego's Triton Invitational on April 7-8 in La Jolla.
