FULLERTON, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos men's track & field team tallied three top-10 program marks at Cal State Fullerton's Ben Brown Invite on Friday & Saturday at the Titan Track Complex.
 
TOP PERFORMANCES

• Justice Chima had the fourth-best 100-meter dash time in program history at 10.78.
• Juan Leyva was the top Cougar in the hammer throw on Friday at 49.53 meters. Kalathan Laiwa-McKay posted the sixth-best hammer throw mark in program history at 49.29 meters.
• Laiwa-McKay later posted a shot put mark of 14.15 as the Cougars' lone entrant.
• Shaun Katje tallied the 10th-best triple jump mark in team history at 13.12 meters. Eugenio Abruzzini was just behind Katje at 13.10 meters.
• Nick Melanese had CSUSM's best 5K time of 14:53.88 – a personal best.
• Braden Oberg was the top Cougar in the 400-meter dash at 52.09.
• Nate Valencia had a time of 58.32 in the 400-meter hurdles.
• In the 200-meter dash, Sam Whelan ran a time of 22.93.
• Isaac Muanza took eighth in the high jump at 1.90 meters.
• CSUSM closed out the meet with a 4x400-meter relay time of 3:24.48.
