SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Head Coach
Greg Hutton revealed the 2022-23 Cal State San Marcos women's golf schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The slate includes eight regular-season tournaments, including the Cougars' own CSUSM Fujikura Invitational in the spring.
Â
"Our fall schedule looks great," said Hutton. "We head to Arizona, New Mexico and Hawaii. All these tournaments will have great fields which will help us from a region perspective. The spring is spaced out, allowing us time between events that will help us be as prepared as possible.
Â
The Cougars will play four tournaments in the fall, teeing off at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona, on Sept. 26-27. CSUSM will begin October by traveling to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for the Nick Turner Invitational hosted by Fort Lewis on Oct. 17-18. The Cougars will conclude their fall season in Hawai'i with a pair of tournaments – HPU Sharks Shootout (Oct. 25-26) and Hawai'i-Hilo's Dennis Rose Intercollegiate (Oct. 28-29).
Â
CSUSM will begin the spring season at The Valley Invitational hosted by Cal State Bakersfield on Feb. 6-7. After competing at Cal State East Bay's Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout on Feb. 27-28, the Cougars will host the CSUSM Fujikura Invitational on March 6-7 at Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista.
Â
The Cougars will close out the regular season with The Patriot Invitational hosted by Dallas Baptist at Poppy Hills Golf Course on March 20-21.
Â
The 2023 CCAA Championships will feature both the men's and women's conference golf teams and will be played at Victoria Country Club in Riverside on April 17-19. NCAA West Regionals will take place May 8-10 at Golf Club of Dallas hosted by Dallas Baptist with the NCAA Championships May 16-20 at Fox Run Golf Course in Eureka, Missouri.
