COURSE REPORT:  Cal State San Marcos' Matt Pennington finished his NCAA Division II National Championships debut tied for 46th with a 13-over 229 in Dearborn, Michigan.

FIRST TEE

• Pennington opened the day with two bogeys and a birdie on the front nine for a 1-over 37.
• On the back nine, Pennington tallied a bogey, a double bogey and a birdie to finish with a 2-over 3-over 75.

 
INSIDE THE SCORECARD

• Pennington registered 36 pars in the three rounds, ranking sixth out of 108 golfers.
• UIndy's Keegan Bronnenberg (73-69-72) and UMSL's Joel Sylven (74-70-70) tied for first and competed in a playoff with Sylven coming out on top with a birdie on the first hole. 
• Fellow CCAA member Liam Allder of Cal State Monterey Bay finished tied for 70th with an 18-over 234 (73-84-77).
