COURSE REPORT:  The RV/NR Cal State San Marcos men's golf team closed out the opening day with a 27-over 603 and is in 10th place at the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational on Monday. Matt Pennington jumped into the top 10 with a 3-under 69 in the second round and is tied for ninth with a 1-under 143.

FIRST TEE

• Pennington carded six birdies alongside three bogeys to turn in CSUSM's only under-par round of the day.
• Matthew Moss turned in a 6-over 150 (74-76) and is tied for 33rd.
• Cutter Ayres and Jason McElroy are both tied for 51st with six other golfers with a two round total of 11-over 155.
• Greg Mouser is tied for 77th with a 20-over 164 (81-83).
