SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team continued its climb up the national rankings on Tuesday as the Cougars moved up to No. 16 in the WBCA Top 25 Coaches poll.
 
CSUSM is 5-1 overall after opening CCAA play with two road victories this past weekend. The Cougars registered a 70-59 win at Stanislaus State last Thursday before closing out the week with a 54-41 victory at Chico State on Saturday.
 
The Cougars are on a 19-game conference win streak dating back to their 76-70 victory at Cal State Monterey Bay on Dec. 9, 2021.
 
CSUSM will host San Francisco State on Thursday, Dec. 8 in its conference home opener. Tipoff is slated for 5:30 p.m.
