COURSE REPORT:  The RV/NR Cal State San Marcos men's golf team collected third place at the Southwest Airlines Hawai'i Pacific Shark Shootout on Wednesday after carding a 7-under 281 to finish the two-round tournament with an 8-under 568. Matt Pennington tied for third after matching his first-round score of 4-under 68 and was just one stroke out of first place.
 
FIRST TEE

• Pennington notched six birdies and two bogies to finish with an 8-under 136 (68-68).  
• Greg Mouser also copied his opening round to tie for sixth place with a 6-under 138 (69-69).
• Jason McElroy carded a 73 in the final round to conclude the tournament with a 3-over 147 for a share of 45th place.
• Tying for 59th, Matthew Moss improved on his first round by seven strokes to join Nick Van Vleet with a 5-over 149.
