COURSE REPORT: There were clear sunny skies as the the Cal State San Marcos men's cross country team hosted the 2019 Cougar Challenge at Walnut Grove Park. CSUSM finished in first with a 14-point cushion in front of No. 12 Queens (N.C.). 

FINISH LINE

• Joshua Litwiller was the first to cross the finish line for CSUSM and placed third overall with a time of 24:12.8.
• Kibrom Elias was the next Cougar to finish, only eight seconds behind Litwiller, recording a time of 24:20.8. 
• Shea Vavra placed fifth for CSUSM by clocking in at 24:22.5, while Robert Marin took the ninth-place finish with a time of 24:42.7. 
• Phillip Dorado (24:48.4) finished 12th overall and fifth for the Cougars.
