The Cal State San Marcos men's cross country team placed 16th out of 25 teams at the Highlander Invitational in Riverside, scoring 445 points in the 6K race.

FINISH LINE

• Ziggy Nacco led the Cougars with a 69th-place finish with an 8K PR time of 24:54.9.
• Owen Hinz followed in 82nd place with a time of 25:05.5.
• Mark De Haro crossed in 84th with an 8K PR time of 25:06.9.
• Aidan O'Toole finished 126th in 25:39.8.
• Anthony Martinez rounded out CSUSM's scoring five in 209th place with a time of 26:56.9.
• Aidan Dube (212th, 27:01.3) and Frank Rodriguez (215th, 27:02.6) also competed for the Cougars.

CSUSM will return to competition on Friday, Oct. 24, at the CCAA Championships hosted by Chico State at Hooker Oak Park in Chico, California.
