Women's golf will get the week started by hosting the DII West Region Preview on Monday and Tuesday at The Club at La Costa.

Men's golf will travel to Seaside for Otter Invitational at the Bayonet Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday.

Women's soccer will head down the road to face No. 2 UC San Diego on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. The Cougars will then head to Sonoma State for an 11:30 a.m. contest on Sunday.

Men's soccer will also travel to La Jolla on Wednesday to face the Tritons at 7 p.m. before heading to Rohnert Park to face the Seawolves at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Volleyball will travel to Northern California to face Humboldt State and Sonoma State. Thursday's match in Arcata will begin at 7 p.m. while Saturday's match in Rohnert Park is slated for 1 p.m.
The 2019-20 men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced at Cougar Madness on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in The Sports Center.

Men's and women's cross country will travel to Arcata for the CCAA Championships on Saturday. The women's 6k will begin at 9 a.m., and the men's 8k will get underway at 10 a.m.

THE HUTTON FILE
- Head coach Greg Hutton has been at the helm of the men's program since the 2010-11 season and was named the women's head coach in 2014.
- The CSUSM women's team was the 2019 NCAA Division II National Championship runner-up, led by National Champion Jaime Jacob.
- Under Hutton's leadership, the women's team won CSUSM's first CCAA Championship in school history in 2018 and the Cougars defended their title in 2019.

- The Cougars took a 2-0 loss to Stanislaus State on Friday before earning a 1-0 win in overtime against Chico State on Sunday.
- With just 49 seconds remaining in the first overtime period against the Wildcats, Jessica Harloe sent in a free kick from midfield. The ball was headed by Daoust over the keeper's head and into the bottom right corner of the net to clinch the win.

MIDWEEK MATCHUP AT NO. 2 UCSD

PREVIOUS RACE
- The men's and women's teams competed in the UCR Highlander Invitational in Riverside, California.
- Ruben Piña led the charge for CSUSM, where he secured a 72nd-place finish with a time of 25:51.81.
- The women's team finished the race 18th out of the 23 teams competing on the 6,000 kilometer course.
- Alicia Villarreal was the first of the Cougars to cross the finish line, clocking a 23:22.45 finish and 95th place.
UPCOMING RACE
- Chico State's men's squad has claimed the title of CCAA champions for the past 17 seasons, and their women's team has claimed the past 11 consecutively and 15 of the past 17.
- In 2018, the Cougars made a strong showing as the men's team placed second out of eight teams and the women's team took third out of 12 teams.
- Last year, Marina McDonough completed the course in 21:59.0 to place 10th and Joshua Litwiller placed 15th as he registered a time of 25:00.6.

THE OLSON FILE
- Head coach Torrey Olson begins his second season at the helm of the men's and women's cross country after taking over in the summer of 2018.
- Olson came to CSUSM after spending three seasons as the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country at the Academy of Art University where his teams earned 50-plus All-American honors.
- Olson served as the head cross country coach the previous three years at Academy of Art.
- In addition to the Academy of Art, Olson has also worked with the University of San Francisco and Pomona-Pitzer College.
- A graduate of Pomona College in 2009, Olson also holds an MFA from St. Mary's College (2012).
