JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. – The No. 25 Cal State San Marcos men's golf team closed out the California Baptist Golf Joust in 16th place on the par 70, 6,793-yard course at Goose Creek Golf Club. The Cougars fell behind early and were never able to regroup, finishing with a 54-hole total of 57-over 897.
Host California Baptist shot a 10-over 850 to defeat No. 16 Chico State (858, +18) by eight strokes for the title.
Colin Prater of Colorado-Colorado Springs won the individual title with a 6-under 204.
Senior
Chris Tuulik was CSUSM's top finisher, tying for 44th place with a 13-over 223. Junior
Jordan McBrayer tied for 55th with a 16-over 226.

Justin Vrzich both tied for 65th after carding a three-round total of 18-over 228. Sophomore
Ben Hume turned in a 22-over 232 to tie for 80th.
The Cougars next compete in the UCSD SoCal Intercollegiate on March 26-27.
