SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Cal State San Marcos head women's basketball coach
Renee Jimenez has announced the addition of a pair of Sierra College transfers, Raegan Lillie and Kaitlyn Reina, to the Cougar roster for the 2016-17 season.
"We're excited to add two more Sierra College players to our program. We have had numerous players come through our programs from Sierra and that's testament to the job that Coach Murrish and her staff are doing with their program," said Jimenez. "Kait and Reagan will team up again with former teammate and current CSUSM point guard
Ashley Jenkins. We always know we are going to get tough, competitive players when they come from Sierra and we are excited to for them to bring their winning ways to Cal State San Marcos."

Raegan Lillie
F • 5-9 • Jr. • Colfax, Calif. / Colfax HS / Sierra College
• 2015-16: All-Big 8 Conference first team, Team MVP
• Averaged 13.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.0 apg
• Major contributor to Big 8 Conference Championship
• 3-time Pioneer Valley League champion at Colfax (2012-14)
• 3-time All-Pioneer Valley first team (2012-14)
Coach Jimenez on Lillie: "Raegan is a great leader and teammate who possesses that desire to win. She'll bring great versatility to our team and can play multiple positions on the floor - which will make her very tough to guard. Reagan has the ability to handle the ball in transition, as well as get to the rim. The more ball handlers we can have on the court, the faster we will be able to play. She has great feel around the rim, which allows her to post up smaller guards, but her biggest strength might be her ability to shoot the three-ball. Night in and night out, Reagan will be fun for our fans to watch." |

Kaitlyn Reina
G • 5-9 • Jr. • Auburn, Calif. / Bear River HS / Sierra College
• All-Big 8 Conference honorable mention (2015-16)
• Averaged 6.9 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 1.5 spg
• Major contributor to Big 8 Conference Championship
• 2014 Pioneer Valley League MVP at Bear River HS
• Scholar-Athlete at Bear River HS
Coach Jimenez on Reina: "Kait is the type of player we love - tough, gritty and a great teammate. She takes great pride in her defense and can guard people bigger than her because of how physical she is around the basket. She is a beast on the boards and does a great job of getting her team extra possessions on offense. She runs the floor hard which will allow us to get some easy baskets in transition. Our fans will love to watch Kait's competitiveness, enthusiasm and pride she'll bring to the floor each night at Cal State San Marcos." |
