SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos baseball team seeks its third Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference Championship title this weekend in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Tournament Information
The 2015 A.I.I. Baseball Championship is hosted by Georgia Gwinnett at Grizzly Baseball Complex in Lawrenceville, Ga.  Six teams will play in a double-elimination tournament between Saturday, May 2 and Tuesday, May 5.
 
Live Coverage
CSUSM play-by-play announcer Seth Smith will be on hand to provide audio commentary of every game of the Cougars' quest for the A.I.I. crown. To listen to the "Cougar Voice", visit Ustream/channel/csusmsports. Live video of all the action, equipped with live play-by-play will be available for a fee on the Grizzly Digital Network.
 
Note: If the CSUSM softball team is in the winner takes all championship game at noon on Saturday, Seth will not be available to do play-by-play for baseball's first game.

All-time Record: 7-6 (.538)
Last Year: After falling to Fisher in the opening game, the Cougars edged out top-seeded Georgia Gwinnett on Ray Patchen's RBI single up the middle in the bottom of the ninth to give CSUSM a 5-4 victory. CSUSM was eliminated by Houston-Victoria the next day by a score of 3-2.

Who We Are
CSUSM is an NAIA Division I institution which competes in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference. CSUSM was accepted into NCAA Division II Candidacy Year One and the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) during the summer and is currently going through a three-year transition phase in order to gain full NCAA DII status for the 2017-18 season. The 2014-15 season will be the school's final year in the NAIA.
