SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team travels to Santa Clarita Wednesday, Feb. 4 to take on No. 11 The Master's College.

Admission to every CSUSM home game is free for youth 12 & under when wearing their youth team's jersey to the game. Accompanying parents will be admitted for a discounted rate of $5. Regular adult ticket prices are $7, while children 12 & under and seniors over 55 and older are $5.

The Master's College Preview
All-time vs. TMC: 2-4
Last Meeting: W, 64-47 (Jan. 3, 2015).  CSUSM collected its fourth consecutive win to begin 2015 by upsetting then No. 20 The Master's College. Senior Cassie Damyanovich led the Cougars with 16 points, making 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Senior Mackenzie Harnett collected her first double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Junior Brianna Higgins was one point shy of a double-double, finishing with nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
TMC Breakdown: The 11th-ranked Mustangs dropped back-to-back games to No. 8 Concordia (69-60) and No. 12 Vanguard (72-58) last week. Bianca Cubello ranks No. 22 in the nation with 28 blocks.
 
Showdown Behind the Arc
Wednesday night will feature two teams ranked No. 4 and No. 6 in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage. The Cougars are shooting 36.4 percent while the Mustangs have a slightly better percentage at 37.3.

Last Game Recap
The Cougars captured a 58-41 victory over Bethesda last Saturday night at MiraCosta College. Senior Kimberly Kipp directed the Cougars to their ninth win in 11 games with a team-high 14 points. Senior Heather Thompson pulled down a game-high 14 boards on top of her nine points. Senior Mackenzie Harnett added nine points and 12 rebounds.

Two More Home Games After Saturday
Although it was Senior Night on Saturday, it was not the last time the Cougars will be playing at MiraCosta College this season.  CSUSM hosts Point Loma on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at and San Diego Christian on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
 
Who We Are
CSUSM is an NAIA Division I institution which competes in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference. CSUSM was accepted into NCAA Division II Candidacy Year One and the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) during the summer and is currently going through a three-year transition phase in order to gain full NCAA DII status for the 2017-18 season. The 2014-15 season will be the school's final year in the NAIA.
