SD Mines Breakdown: The Hardrockers became full-fledged members of the NCAA Division II in July 2013 and joined the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) last month. SD Mines has won three of their last five games capped by an 89-82 win at Johnson & Wales.

Last Meeting: W, 94-60 (Feb. 8, 2014). Four Cougars finished in double figures with
Cassie Damyanovich leading the way with 19 points.
Heather Thompson (12 pts., 12 rebs.) and
Sherika Miller (18 pts., 12 rebs.) each registered double-doubles. CSUSM dished out 25 assists while shooting 49.4 percent from the field.
JWU Breakdown: So far, 2015 has been a tough year for JWU. The Wildcats have just recorded one victory in their nine contests since the New Year.

Mackenzie Harnett registered a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds and
Cassie Damyanovich recorded a game-high 22 with six 3-pointers last month when the Cougars hosted NNMC. CSUSM shot 45.6 percent and outrebounded the Eagles 46-33.
NNMC Breakdown: The Eagles started the season strong by winning eight of their first nine games but have hit a rough spot since then, losing 12-of-16 games.

Who We AreCSUSM is an NAIA Division I institution which competes in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference. CSUSM was accepted into NCAA Division II Candidacy Year One and the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) during the summer and is currently going through a three-year transition phase in order to gain full NCAA DII status for the 2017-18 season. The 2014-15 season will be the school's final year in the NAIA.
