Last Meeting: W, 58-53 (Jan. 9, 2014). The Cougars earned their first win of 2014 by hitting a series of timely shots late in the second half to defeat Biola.
Cassie Damyanovich led the Cougars with 16 points and
Mackenzie Harnett came off the bench to contribute six points and 10 rebounds.
Heather Thompson notched a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Biola Breakdown: The Eagles enter Wednesday's contest having won five of their last eight games and going 1-1 in their own Holiday Classic last weekend. Biola dropped a 76-64 decision to South Dakota School of Mines & Technology on Friday, Jan. 2 before collecting a 60-48 win over Evangel University (Mo.) the next day. Elizabeth Munger and Chelsea Hill is leading the Biola offense, averaging 11.1 and 11.0 points per game, respectively.

Last Meeting: L, 56-88 (Dec. 13, 2014). The Cougars turned over the ball a season-high 27 times last month against the Oaks which proved detrimental as Menlo tallied 36 points off turnovers. Junior
Brianna Higgins paced the Cougars with 19 points and eight rebounds, while senior
Mackenzie Harnett chipped in 11 points.
Menlo Breakdown: The Oaks have won six of their last seven games, their only loss coming to No. 13 Siena Heights on Dec. 20 at the Surf Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii. Laurel Donnenwirth ranks fourth in the NAIA Division II national rankings with 10.9 rebounds per game. She is also averaging a team-high 15.2 points per game.
Last Game RecapThe Cougars are in the midst of a four-game win streak that includes a 64-47 victory over No. 20 The Master's College on Saturday, Jan. 3. CSUSM registered a season-low 11 turnovers while collecting six steals and five blocked shots.

Who We AreCSUSM is an NAIA Division I institution which competes in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference. CSUSM was accepted into NCAA Division II Candidacy Year One and the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) during the summer and is currently going through a three-year transition phase in order to gain full NCAA DII status for the 2017-18 season. The 2014-15 season will be the school's final year in the NAIA.
