Final Results
PRESCOTT, Ariz. – The No. 6 Cal State San Marcos women's golf team shot 19-over-par 307, its lowest score of the spring season, en route to victory at the Embry-Riddle Spring Invitational on Tuesday at Antelope Hills North Golf Course.
CSUSM (312-307) finished with a two-round total of 33-over-par 619. Cal Lutheran was 13 strokes back at 632 (+46).Â
Lisa Copeland posted the lowest score of the day with a 3-over-par 75.
Taylor Coover finished second overall with a two-day total over 10-over-par 154. Coover held the first-round lead after a tournament-low 74, but came in with an 80 in her second go-around.
Christina Trujillo shot 76 and finished 12-over-par at 156.
Vanessa Chap and
Victoria Smith each shot 78. Smith (77-78) had the second-lowest total score on the team, 11-over-par 155.
Copeland improved by 10 strokes in the final round and finished at 16-over-par 160.
CSUSM will play in the South Dakota State Invitational this Thursday and Friday, March 13 and 14 at The Classic Club.
