Cassie Damyanovich scored a game-high 22 points to lead CSUSM to its third win in four games.
Heather Thompson tallied 16 points after going 6-of-9 from the field and sinking 4-of-5 from the charity line.
Brianna Higgins came off the bench to contribute seven points and a game-high nine rebounds.
Concordia Breakdown: The Eagles entered the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll last week for the first time since 2006 after taking down then No. 14 The Master's College and then No. 13 Westmont the first week of December. Concordia is nationally ranked in the top 10 in two categories: No. 5 in offensive rebounds per game (18.0) and No. 8 in blocks per game (3.78). Janis Peterson is averaging a team-high 24.4 points per game.
San Diego Christian PreviewAll-time vs. San Diego Christian: 0-3

Last Meeting: L, 60-70 (Jan. 11, 2014). The Cougars led by six late in the second half but could not find a bucket down the stretch, falling to the Hawks at MiraCosta College.
Kimberly Kipp led the Cougars with 16 points and eight rebounds, finishing 8-of-9 from the field.
Sherika Miller collected 11 points and five boards.
San Diego Christian Breakdown: The Hawks are 1-2 in December, dropping games to Biola (60-37) and Hope International (75-53). SDCC's lone victory this month came against Arizona Christian (65-61) on Dec. 6 at Point Loma University. Gabrielle Concepcion is leading the Hawk offense, averaging 14.3 points and 1.9 assists per game.
Last Week RecapThe Cougars dropped two games last week on the road. CSUSM put together two spirited comeback efforts but eventually fell to NCAA Division II Point Loma on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 75-68. Damyanovich scored a season-high 28 points and tied her own school record of six buckets from behind the arc. Thompson tallied her fourth double-double with 18 points and 13 boards. Last Saturday, the Cougars dropped an 88-56 decision at Menlo College. Higgins paced CSUSM with 19 points and eight rebounds.
Where the Cougars Rank in NationWith ten games in the books this season, Thompson appears in five categories in the NAIA individual top 25 rankings:

- No. 15 in blocks per game (1.6)
- No. 16 in total blocks (16)

As a team, the Cougars are No. 19 in total rebound defense (35.2), No. 35 in field goal percentage (0.416), No. 38 in total blocks (27) and No. 38 in blocks per game (2.7).
Who We AreCSUSM is an NAIA Division I institution which competes in the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Conference. CSUSM was accepted into NCAA Division II Candidacy Year One and the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) during the summer and is currently going through a three-year transition phase in order to gain full NCAA DII status for the 2017-18 season. The 2014-15 season will be the school's final year in the NAIA.
