Box Score OCEANSIDE, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team fell 68-59 to Hope International on Thursday night at Darling Pavilion.

Cassie Damyanovich recorded a game-high 19 points, while Sherika Miller tallied 16 and Heather Thompson pitched in with 13. Thompson added 11 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season and the fifth in her last six games. She also had three blocks and a pair of steals.

CSUSM drops to 11-7. HIU improves to 10-3.

The Cougars held the Royals to 29.2% shooting, including a 21.2% percent clip in the second half. CSUSM shot 39.2% for the game, but HIU was able to capitalize on 28 Cougar turnovers.

Andrina Rendon led HIU with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Brittany Bauman contributed 16 points, while Krystal Canning had 14 points and 4 assists.

CSUSM faces The Master's College on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Bross Gym.
