Box Score SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – Sherika Miller scored a game-high 17 as the Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team cruised to a 61-40 victory over UC Santa Cruz on Saturday night at the Slug Dome.
The Cougars finish the regular season at 12-18 overall after winning three of their last four games.
Miller went 7-of-14 from the field, made 2-of-4 3-point baskets and blocked three shots over 24 minutes.
Heather Thompson registered a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 14 boards while
Jessica Harris also pitched in with 11 points. Harris went 2-of-2 from downtown.
CSUSM held the Banana Slugs (13-11) to 23.9 percent shooting and outrebounded UCSC 52-40.
The Cougars took an 11-point advantage into halftime and did not trail after the 17:33 mark of the first half. CSUSM led by as much as 30 in the second before the Slugs made it a 21-point ballgame.

Sarah Jackson contributed a game-high six assists in her final regular season contest, while fellow senior
Mechel'la Logan tallied seven points and six rebounds.
CSUSM will take two weeks off to prepare for the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) Tournament, March 1-3 in Montgomery, W.Va.
The Cougars are the defending A.I.I. champions and are seeking their second-straight berth to the NAIA national tournament, March 13-19 in Frankfort, Ky.
