LEWISTON, Calif. - The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team moved back to .500 on the season after falling to Southern Oregon 77-60 on Saturday evening at the Twin Rivers Physical Therapy Classic.

The teams traded the lead 12 times, went into the half tied and the Cougars led by as much as three in the second half.

It was tied 54-54 with 7:54 remaining, but SOU (5-1) held the Cougars scoreless for the next five minutes while putting together an 18-0 run to take a 73-54 advantage at the 2:43 mark.

Cassie Damyanovich, who was named to the all-tournament team, led CSUSM (2-2) with 13 points. Lindsay Uyematsu added 12, while Heather Thompson finished with seven points and a team-high 14 rebounds.

The Cougars will end their trip to Idaho against Lewis-Clark State on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
