Box Score LA MIRADA, Calif. – Mechel'la Logan and
Sherika Miller scored 13 points apiece but the Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team fell 61-42 to Biola on Friday night at Bross Gym.
The Eagles used a 16-5 run at the end of the first half to take a 31-14 lead into halftime. The Cougars answered with a 13-2 stretch to get within 34-25 four minutes into the second frame, but Biola (8-6) held CSUSM (9-15) without a bucket while expanding the lead to 19 with just over 13 minutes remaining to put the game out of reach.
Logan added five steals, while Miller and
Alexandria Alvarado added four each. Alvarado also pulled down a team-high seven boards.
Adijat Adams led the Eagles with 15 points while Elizabeth Munger added 10.
CSUSM has a break before heading to Point Loma Nazarene to face the Sea Lions on Jan. 16. PLNU will visit CSUSM on Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
