Tournament Bracket

The NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship Bracket has been released, and the Cal State San Marcos Cougars have earned the #8 seed in their section of the 32-team field. San Marcos will play #1 seed Davenport University from Grand Rapids, Michigan at 1:30 PM Pacific time Wednesday March 7th in Sioux City, Iowa.

The first-year Cougars (18-14) are fresh off an A.I.I. Conference Tournament Victory, and have won 7 of their last 8 games as they begin their quest for a national championship.

The Davenport Lady Panthers (29-4) are a perennial NAIA contender, as they have won the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference regular season title six years running, and this is their 4^th straight year they have been given a #1 seed in the national tournament.

The National Championships are single elimination, and it will take 5 victories to win the competition. Should the Cougars continue to advance, they would play Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday.
