SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team was topped by The Master's College 68-47 on Friday evening at Bross Gym.

Danielle Cooper led the Cougars with 12 points and seven rebounds, while Mechel'la Logan tallied 11 points to go with four boards.

The Cougars led by five at the 13:26 mark of the first half after Sarah Jackson's jumper inside, 11-6. However, the Mustangs responded with a 14-0 run to take a 22-13 lead at 6:21. Cooper's lay-up brought the Cougars within six around the four-minute mark, but that would be as close as CSUSM would get the rest of the way.

Freshman point guard Jessica Harris led the Cougars with eight boards. Both teams struggled from the field, with CSUSM shooting 31.1 percent to 36.9 percent by the Mustangs.

CSUSM (3-3) will turn around to face Menlo College (4-0) tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at MiraCosta College. The Oaks beat La Sierra 63-52 on Friday evening.
