The Cal State San Marcos student-athletes had another excellent semester academically, recording a total grade point average of 2.95 for the fall semester.
In total, 146 of CSUSM's 311 student-athletes (46%) recorded at least a 3.0 GPA this fall. Nearly half (69) of those went even further, posting a GPA of 3.5 or higher, a number that represents over 22% of the University's active student-athletes.
10 student-athletes earned the recognition as Mangrum Award winners for receiving a perfect 4.0 GPA this semester. These Cougars will be recognized at the CSUSM Student-Athlete Awards and Hall of Fame Banquet April 19
th.
“The success of our student athletes in the classroom is just as amazing as the success of our teams on the fields/courts,” stated Athletic Director Tom Seitz. “Academic and athletic excellence continues to be our mission.”
