Cal State San Marcos Athletics

Kaitlin McGinley of the No. 5 Cal State San Marcos softball team has been named the CSUSM Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 28 - May 4, 2014. McGinley helped the Cougars earn an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round by leading the team to a runner-up finish at the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I. Softball Championship last weekend. McGinley hit .421 (8-for-17) with a double and three RBI, scored seven times and went 3-for-3 stealing on the weekend.
