Competed in nine meets.
Ran the third-fastest 100-meter dash in program history in the finals of the CCAA Track & Field Championships (May 4-6) with a time of 12.15.
Helped the Cougars take bronze in the 4x100 at the CCAA Championships with a time of 46.94 – tied for the sixth fastest in program history.
Posted a PR of 25.80 in the 200-meter dash at the APU Last Chance Meet (May 12-13).

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2022 DURING TRACK & FIELD

Competed in 10 meets.
Ran a season-best 400-meter hurdles time of 1:01.21, a season-best 200-meter dash time of 26.37 and a season-best 100-meter dash time of 12.90 at the Chris Rinne Twilight (April 22).
Recorded an 800-meter time of 2:46.49 at the OIDFE Challenge (Jan. 29).

2020 graduate of El Camino High School in Oceanside, California.
Competed for coach Billy Isles.
Five-time Avocado East All-League first-team recipient and four-time second-team honoree.
Helped win the CIF SDS Division I League Championship in 2017.
Earned second place in the 4x800 and fourth place in the 4x100 in the Arcadia Invitational.
Was team captain for two seasons.
Helped break the 4x400-meter school record.
Is a North County African American Women's Association Scholarship recipient and a Wildcat Foundation Scholarship recipient.
Also competed in cross country.

Born and raised in Oceanside, California.
Daughter of Laterrial and Omar Ortiz.
Has one twin sister, Elise, who is also a CSUSM student-athlete.
Wants to become a wildlife biologist after graduating.
Enjoys gaming, photography and music.
Favorite movies are Hugo, Harry Potter and Joker.
Favorite foods are burritos, mangoes and pot roast.
Greatest influence is her mother.
Wears the same socks for each meet.
Likes most about CSUSM is that it is close to home.
