Competed in one race.
Ran a 6K PR time of 25:49.0 at the Highlander Invitational (Oct. 14) for 225th place.

AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE IN 2023 DURING TRACK & FIELD

Competed in four indoor meets and 10 outdoor meets.
Broke the program's indoor 400-meter record with a time of 58.03 at the BU Last Chance (Feb. 26).
Helped post the program's second-best indoor 4x100 time at 3:56.84 at the Fastrack Last Chance (Feb. 24) after helping record the fourth-time of 3:58.32 at the Minnesota State Massive Meet (Feb. 11).
Helped with the fifth-best indoor DMR time in program history at 12:18.49 at the Minnesota State Massive Meet (Feb. 10).
Recorded the third-fastest outdoor 400-meter hurdles time in program history while earning bronze at the CCAA Championships (May 4-6) with a time of 1:00.51.
Earned silver in the 4x400 at the CCAA Championships with a time of 3:50.18.
800-meter time of 2:12.44 at the APU Last Chance (May 12-13) was the sixth fastest in program history.
Ran a PR of 26.73 in the 200-meter dash at the Ben Brown Invite (March 10-11).
Was one of two Cougars to compete in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 25-27) for the very first time, finishing with a time of 1:01.58.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2022 DURING CROSS COUNTRY

Competed in two races.
Made collegiate debut in cross country at the Mark Covert Classic (Sept. 3) with a 5k time of 23:30.7 for 141st place.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2022 DURING TRACK & FIELD

Competed in two indoor meets and eight outdoor meets.
Ran her fastest indoor 400-meter time of 1:01.71 at the Fastrack Last Chance (Feb. 25).
Recorded her best outdoor 400-meter time of 58.45 at the CCAA Track & Field Championships (May 5-7).
Ran season-best 200- and 800-meter times of 27.01 and 2:23.53 at the PLNU Invitational (March 26).

2020 graduate of Selma High School in Selma, California.
Competed for coach Alex Reyes.
Was named Athlete of the Year in 2020 and Athlete of the Season in spring 2019.
Named Best Track Athlete in the Central Sequoia League in 2019 and was Track Team MVP 2018-20.
Graduated with a 3.98 GPA.
Was the ASB Leadership Group Leader and is a UCSF Doctors Academy Alum.
Set a PR of 45.44 in the 300-meter hurdles in 2019.
Set a PR and school record of 58.62 in the 400-meter run in 2019.
Ran times of 27.76 and 2:21 in the 200- and 800-meters in 2019.
Helped win the 4x400-meter league championship in 2018 and 2019.
Was a Top 5 300-meter hurdler at the 2019 Valley Championship.
Also competed in volleyball and basketball.

Born and raised in Selma, California.
Daughter of Margie and Jesus Salinas.
Has one older brother, Joshua, and one older sister, Miranda.
Wants to get into the medical field.
Enjoys hanging out with friends and family, going to the beach, painting, working out, going on runs and listening to music.
Favorite movies are Superbad, The Notebook and 10 Things I Hate About You.
Favorite athletes are Sydney McLaughlin and Tara Davis.
Favorite food is pasta.
Her mom is her greatest influence.
Most memorable moment is competing in the Central Section Masters.
Was a competitive dancer for 10 years.
Favorite CSUSM memory was traveling to the East coast with the team and creating life-long friendships on and off the track.
Loves most about CSUSM is the community in San Marcos and how modern and unique the campus is.
Aspires to work in the medical field after graduation.
Majoring in Kinesiology.
