HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warriors struck first in the top of the first with an RBI single up the middle by Chris Ortiz to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Cougars matched the Warriors with a run in the bottom of the inning with an RBI double to left field by Zech Samayoa to tie the game at 1-1.
- A pair of two-run blasts to left and right by Zach Lewis and AJ Carter put Stanislaus up 5-1 in the top of the third.
- CSUSM cut the deficit to 5-3 in the bottom of the fifth with a solo homer to left by Jacob Embleton and a sacrifice fly to center by Christopher Tampoya.
