NEW ORLEANS – The Cal State San Marcos men's and women's track & field teams were each named 2025 NCAA Division II All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) while
Rasha Badrani,
Kalathan Laiwa-McKay and
Nick Melanese were named All-Academic Athletes.

For a team to earn All-Academic honors, it must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.

CSUSM's women's team tallied a 3.323 GPA while the men's team tallied a 3.249 GPA.

For an individual to earn All-Academic honors, they must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25, must have been academically eligible at the National Championships and must have finished the season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS or have competed at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships

This was the first USTFCCCA All-Academic honor for Badrani, Laiwa-McKay and Melanese as each finished their final season at CSUSM.
