CARSON, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women's basketball team (3-16, 3-10 CCAA) fell 65-44 at No. 3 Cal State Dominguez Hills (22-0, 14-0 CCAA) on Saturday afternoon in the Torodome.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Down 7-0, the Cougars closed the gap to 9-7 before the Toros closed out the first quarter with a 19-15 lead.
- A Tatum Tamashiro 3-pointer at 5:19 put CSUSM up 27-24 in the second quarter.
- The Toros responded with a 10-0 run to conclude the second quarter at 34-27.
- CSUDH shot 52.0% (13-of-25) in the first half to CSUSM's 40% (10-of-25).
- The Toros held CSUSM to just four points in the third quarter while posting 16 to take a 50-31 lead into the fourth.
- The Cougars found their rhythm again in the fourth quarter, posting 13 points to CSUDH's 15.
FAST BREAKS
- CSUSM shot 29.2% (14-of-48) while the Toros registered 43.6% (24-of-55).
- Both teams tallied 17 points off turnovers in the contest.
- The Cougars registered five points off fast breaks while CSUDH was held to two.
- The Toros finished with almost double the rebounds of the Cougars, 46-24.
- CSUDH leads the all-time series at 14-8 and is 8-2 when playing the Cougars in the Torodome.
